Lou Segreti is an experienced litigator who defends and prosecutes civil cases throughout California.  Lou’s wide-ranging experience covers most areas of commercial law, including contracts, real property, business torts, unfair competition, appellate advocacy, insurance coverage, antitrust, employment, and professional liability. 
 

Lou obtained his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, in 2004, where he was an Associate Editor for the Michigan Law Review.  He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois, magna cum laude, in 2000, where he was a James Scholar.  After law school, Lou began his career as a litigation associate for Ross, Dixon & Bell, which later merged with Troutman Sanders.   At RDB and Troutman, Lou’s practice centered on litigating business disputes, real property disputes (including disputes involving access easements and encroachments), and insurance coverage matters.  Lou opened his own law firm in 2017, where he continues to practice civil litigation.

In addition to his law practice, Lou was a member of the Miramar Ranch North Planning Committee, the University of Michigan Alumni Club of San Diego’s Board of Governors, and was a founding member of the United Way of San Diego County’s Emerging Leader’s Council.
